 Switch Mode Power Supply Engineer

Job Summary

A  engineer to lead in the development of high density, high efficiency switch mode power supplies (SMPS) achieving high reliability and low cost, using state of the art technologies and techniques for a variety of markets.

Requirements

• BSEE with 5 to 10+ years of high voltage analog design at power levels from 250 to 1200W.  Masters degree or comparable continuing education is a plus.
• Thorough knowledge of power supply topologies (both DC/DC and AC/DC), high frequency switching, high efficiency techniques, magnetic design, switching devices, control theory, thermal management, design for manufacturability, reliability, quality, test and safety.
• Detailed design experience with active PFC design, resonant converter design, synchronous rectifier design, HF transformers, and EMI filters is required.
• In depth knowledge and experience with compliance, including worldwide EMI and safety standards.
• Experience with SPICE, printed wiring board, and other engineering design software is desired.
• Position is for contract or permanente employment.
